Is it so hard to ask for a reply from employers? When I send an email or a resume does it just disappear into the void of the interwebs, never to be seen again? Whatever happened to the days when I could walk up to a business and simply take down the Help Wanted sign. I just want to be able to walk up to a manager and say, Do you have any open positions? Great! when can I start? But maybe I'm just out of my league. How can I possibly compete with artists who graduated from prestigious art schools and interned with the best graphic artists in the field. Most of what I will write here in this journal will be rants and raves about being a Barista. I am a barista at a well known coffee house, wink wink.. You know the one mean. I love working for the almighty coffee bean. He's not a strict tyrant or an oppressive dictator.
